Swiss Coalition to Release Final Report: “Cultural Diversity—More than a Slogan”

Switzerland’s Coalition for Cultural Diversity will be releasing its “white book” on the implementation of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions in Switzerland at a public conference in Berne on October 16—the first anniversary of Switzerland’s ratification of the UNESCO Convention.
The report consists of the final report on the project “Cultural Diversity—More than a Slogan” prepared by eight expert groups representing different sectors of Swiss cultural life: music, cinema, visual arts and heritage preservation, literature, theatre and dance, education, mass media, and international cooperation. The project was conceived to develop specific proposals for a Swiss cultural policy that would support the implementation of the UNESCO Convention on the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
